Seam Guide Instructions:

Remove the acetate covering the back side of the guide, (Label side goes up when sewing). Place the guide along side your Ideal Seam Gauge, press firmly onto the sewing surface. You are ready to Sew!

To take the guide up, gently lift on the beveled end until it releases. Recover the rubber strip with the acetate when not in use.

To clean the guide after it gets to linty, wash in the kitchen sink with Fantastic or a similar multi-surface cleaner and gently rub the lint away.  Rinse with warm water then let it air dry and it is ready to use over again.

The Amazing Ideal Seam Gauge!
Set your seam allowance accurately and consistently with ease! Simply drop the machine needle into the desired seam width hole and square up your Ideal Seam Guide. This may well become one of the most valuable sewing tools you possess.
The Incredible
Ideal Seam Guide
Sure Center Ruler
When accuracy really counts, a static-cling, transparent ruler is what you need on the underside of your Sew Steady Portable Table.  Be sure to line up the star with your machine needle!  Now you have another reference for your seam allowance to square your Ideal Seam Guide!
Two parallel Ideal Seam Guides make for Practical Perfect Piecing when stripping.
15" inches of straight is what best describes our longest Ideal Seam Guide.  It is LuAnn's favorite! For those who have a Sew Steady Table or own a Cabinet, the 15" is a must for straight seams!  Large half-square-triangles WITHOUT marking!  Chain-piece small half-square-triangles in seconds NOT minutes!  You can even straight-line quilt on your domestic machine!
Notched side is used to work around wide foot or feed dogs!
The 10" Ideal Seam Guide is our most popular.  It just seems to fit any situation or sewing surface. Many quilters have teamed the 10" with the 15" to achieve the "Practical Perfect Piecing" strategy...by running them parallel to each other when strip piecing.
Our 5" Feather Weight Edition is designed to fit inside of the antique ornamental gold of the classic Singer 221.  LuAnn wanted to make sure that Feather Weight enthusiasts (like her) could safely set the guide inside of the gold leaf without the possibility of damage.  We highly recommend this Ideal Seam Guide for that purpose.  LuAnn's also uses it on the arm of her machine when she is not using her Sew Steady Table! for top-stitching or hemming.
